As a newly formed pack, we have opportunities available for parents to become den leaders.

Do you like to craft? Do you like to camp? Do you like sports? You are already on your way to being a den leader! Being a den leader lets you share your passions with children, and your enthusiasm percolates through your leadership into your den and, with training and resources from Scouting, offers children a safe, fun, and educational way to explore the world.

The Pack provides resources to help you run the den (materials, logistic support like campouts and hikes, awards) and Scouting America provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for meetings, requirements, and educational materials (like here and here). For the first few meetings as a new den leader, you will serve as an assistant so you can learn the ropes from a seasoned den leader.

The most important aspect of being a den leader is an enthusiasm for sharing with children and a joy in seeing their growth. You will get boundless amounts of that in Scouting!
